If you want my Opinion...

What’s the saying? … We tend to disregard or take for granted that which is closest to us? Is that because we’re always looking on the other side of the fence? Hum?

I’m getting tired of hearing how the economy is so bad. We’ve felt it; we know it, yada, yada, yada. Enough is enough already we can only cry so much. As a community, we’re a strong group of survivors so… let’s get on with it! Sure things have changed and it is not as easy as they used to be. We’re in debt and we’ve lost our jobs or our security. And it’s painful to adjust from our comfort zones and take some responsibility. But hey, even our rides need adjustments, and if we don’t maintain them and tune them what happens? So let’s take care of ourselves, our families, our neighbors, our businesses and ride this season to also help out each other. The internet is a great resource for products and services and it’s easy to shop at home in comfort. But we get out! So let’s ride to a neighboring community or the couple of counties away to support our economy locally.

I work with a great bunch of professionals who are committed to helping small business all over our area not only make it, but grow their businesses. The basis of what we hear from those who aren’t complaining about the effect of the current economy is that, they had help and took an opportunity when it was presented. And they didn’t do it on their own. Bottom line they surrounded themselves with those they could help and that could help them.

If you’re like me and are tired of hearing how bad things are then join me in making a change. Put yourself out there & see who you can help and how. You’ll be surprised who you might meet and how they can help you too.

Yikes I’m getting a bit preachy, my bad. But my point is Shawn and I will continue to get out there even if you can’t. We’ll continue to hook up with great folks that have “something” to offer the motorcycle community and want to work with our Little Biker Guide to provide current local information. Thanks for all of your support. As readers, your comments, opinions, & friendship helps us develop our B.I.G. publication and web site. Hope to see you at one of the upcoming events on our calendar page on the website.

Don’t forget to post your upcoming runs, events on the site. Remember it’s FREE and easy and March 1st is the deadline for publishing in the April edition. If you’re interested in having a page in the magazine where you’ll have opportunity to feature a story about what your business can do or is doing. Or if you would like to promote an event in the upcoming season, let Shawn know so we can hook up and get it laid out and designed for the April or July edition. We’ve got some great ideas for getting this information to you including distribution partners, new e-newsletter formats, local classifieds etc. but make no mistakes we make no claims to be able to do it on our own. So give us a howler if you would like to join our group of friends who help us make it happen.

We’re committed on making this your reliable resource, so whether your old school, chopper, v-twin, metric, off rode, trike or scooter.

Ride on... Jennifer
