The Biker Information Guide was started in Arizona in 1997 by Kimmy Chapman who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on March 26, 2011.
However it was July 2008 when distribution began in Wisconsin and Illinois
under the editorial direction of Jennifer Knourek and Shawn Demeritt. Today
Shawn has moved on and Kimmy has passed but Kimmy's commitment and vision for the publication and website continues both nationally and locally: providing timely and relevant information to local riders and enthusiasts
thru the continued efforts of Jennifer the local owner/editor, the network of national independent franchise owners and the corporate guidance of her daughter Kelly, Dave "The Website Guy" and the Arizona staff.
Since its beginning Biker Information Guide has been featured in Biker Magazine, Arizona Republic Newspaper, Seen on MTV, VH1, ESPN II, Channel 3& 12 News and local cable and radio shows all over the country. Kimmy helped in the Creations of Arizona Bike Week in 1997, in 1998 was one of the Original Official Sponsors for Arizona Bike Week and was recently honored as one of Arizona Bike Week's celebrity heroes. Kimmy was the Sponsor& Presenter of the Motorcycle Portion of 36th & 37th Annual World of Wheels
Custom Cars, Hotrods & Motorcycle Show in Arizona. She was also the Vendor
Liaison for the Best of the West Motorcycle Event.Featuring the OCC "Orange County Chopper Guys". She was the first Women to be a Distinct Manger for the MMA and she and her team have supported thousands of Benefits, Poker Runs, Tattoo and Motorcycle Contests all over the country. Locally Wisconsin and Illinois Biker Information Guide created the first multi-brand rally on the Illinois and Wisconsin border duly named the BIG Border Rally, benefiting Accident Scene Management, Inc. (keeping motorcyclists alive
through education and training) and 2011 will mark its third consecutive year of bringing local multi-brand riders and the community together for fun, bike games, bike show, live entertainment and more.
The goal is to make sure that motorcycle riders are well informed via the publications and the network of websites at: www.BikerInformationGuide.com.
